About Us
Cherrybrook Computer Consulting started business in September 1991 as Lawrence Murphy Consulting Pty Limited. The company was renamed in July 1996. We have been around for a long time in computer terms and we expect to be around for a lot longer. We bring our years of experience with us when we visit you.
We started by writing large financial models for clients to assist them with budgeting and management reporting. This progressed into writing specific purpose business applications for either a single or multi-user environment. This required us to acquire knowledge about personal computers and their networks.
Improvement in off-the-shelf software has opened the market for assisting clients to choose an appropriate Business System and then with its implementation and ongoing maintenance. Where required we would write specific purpose modules or reports as an adjunct to the main System.
The rise of the internet in recent years is well known. It has provided businesses with new opportunities and new dangers. We have assisted many clients in making good use of the internet while making sure they are well protected.
We have always listened to our clients' expression of their needs and also tried to anticipate where Information Technology is heading. In this way we have allowed our business to change focus from old technologies to the new. We encourage our clients to move forward only as they need to and not to try to exist at the bleeding edge of technological change.
